This document reflects the platform operational specifications and UK GDPR data architecture. Business subscriber schedules and tenant-specific policies supersede standard operational schedules where agreed in writing.
This technical disclosure details how the Pro TeamX Worker Mobile App utilizes device location hardware, background location services, and geofencing to support field service operations.
1. Telemetry Specifications
The mobile app collects standard WGS84 GPS latitude and longitude coordinates, horizontal accuracy radius, movement speed, and heading direction.
Telemetry is gathered at dynamic intervals (default: 30 seconds while in motion) using geodesic distance filtering to avoid duplicate battery drain when stationary.
Tenant Policy Authority: Device location updates are ingested only if your workspace Tenant Owner has enabled worker location tracking. If disabled, device location services are bypassed and pings are rejected.
2. Operating System Permissions
The mobile app requests device foreground location and background location permissions ("Allow all the time" on Android; "Always Allow" on iOS).
These permissions ensure attendance verification and lone-worker safety telemetry continue seamlessly when navigating, using other apps, or when the mobile device screen is locked during active shifts.
3. Battery Conservation & Off-Duty Transparency
The app employs a visible Android Foreground Service notification whenever background location tracking is active, ensuring complete operational transparency.
Background location services immediately cease when a shift is completed or when you clock out.
Data Purging: All location telemetry is automatically purged according to your employer’s data retention schedule (default: 90 days), leaving no permanent trailing record of worker travel.
